A few of us on the mundane thread seem partial to a glass of vino (mainly Malbec). I thought I would start a thread about wine as beer and coffee both have one.
I had a lovely glass of Saumur red today - mainly because I used to go to the Loire valley as a kid

Malbec is my favourite, but most red wines here in Spain are good. We can get a lovely bottle of organic red wine for €2, be rude not to

I had a glass of Pinot Grigio today - simply because the bottle was open and I’d made two trips to the tip and one to the charity shop

I used to get some cracking wine from Lidl. Used to have German on the label and often discounted as nobody else bought it

I'm sure there use to be a Fetch wine group where wines were recommended and tasted.
Just searched and now gone.

I've gone all Rioja for the last few months. Though I did enjoy 19 Crimes the other day, but I've not got a sophisticated palate!
Gewürztraminer when it's white, lovely with a curry!

Vivino app is handy to assess what’s a decent price for a wine in a supermarket, and to work out the markup in restaurants.
Sainsburys buy 6 save 25% deal on currently, worth a stock up.
