Could consider today a bit of a disaster, nearly an hour outside of my original target. But having started with a trashed, taped and ibu'ed calf any finish was going to be a success. And given the pain some of the TiTs have been going through I can't complain.

And in a perverse way I really enjoyed it. I still love the course and beating the pain gave a certain weird pleasure. If it had been any other road marathon I would have DNSed, but this one is special and I have run all the previous 5. There was swearing, shouting and a lot of tears, but I finished and that was the only aim. 6 from 6, and I'll be back next year for 7. And doing 10 still appeals.

Now I'm just hoping I've done no long-term damage, as there are still a few hard training events to come and then the big one again in July.

Well done to all the TiTs. Once again you were immense and make our efforts and pains pale into insignificance. In awe...

Lovely to catch up with some of you yesterday and thanks for the support from those of you that past me on their way round. Yesterday, along with the rest of the last 10 days, was surreal yet awesome

Lovely to see so many great Fetchies up there. Loved it. I WILL be back. That was the most fun marathon I have ever done. Photos shortly.

Almost a PB for me. I actually thought I could do a PB, except each mile marker was arriving progressively a little earlier than Mr Garmin told me they should, and I rather hoped the finish would also arrive similarly early. In fact it decided to arrive late according to Mr Garmin. 26.3 miles. If it had been 26.1 Garmin miles that would have been a PB. LOL. A PB would have been ridiculous. That is a hilly but wonderful course.

I started, I finished, I dealt with the bit in the middle and finsihed within my target time! not a pb but my first non-foxy Lake marathon!

Runamok made me cry when I got my t-shirt though
