One of those is me looking rather knackered! I was starting to feel a bit weepy at that point as well :-)

Hi WA. Despite the knackered/weepy bit, hope you had a good one :-)

PW for me too but expected it to be much worse than it was - had a great day too, thinking I'll be back for more next year ;-)

PW by nearly 2 hours but that's what happens when you sit on your arse for a few weeks eating and drinking cocktails

Sorry to open this thread up again but need a rant!

Our bloody club press officer has produced May's newsletter! He has raved about a fellow club member coming 6th in Windermere marathon and have impressive her p.b was etc...fair enough t

but then apparently

"I hung on well to complete my 2nd marathon of the year in 5:34!"

Hold on I fought bloody hard to finish-one stage the goal was to finish, then aim for 5:45, then oooh I could sneak 5:35! And it is actually my 3rd marathon of 2012!!!! Really could cry!

more to the point did she get hugged by Foxy, Paul A and then Sir Steve Edwards who said I had done good then made to cry (in a good way) by Runamok!=NO!

Ultra Kanga Kazzaaaaah!!
I get stuff like that all the time from my club PPB. And to add to my frustration they sponsored AJH last year - no mention of it for me this year. It's just the way some clubs are

I'm not a member of a club, but I always thought they were supposed to be welcoming and supportive?

The good folk of Fetchland know what you've achieved though. You're having a great year PPB :-) And Kaz- your club is clearly mad as well. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter.

thanks Kaz and WA x

Highly frustrating isn't it Kaz? I don't mind all that much but he should at least be positive AND get his facts right. He upset my friend DG on the club night when he did race reports about Windermere as raved about SL and then said "Kelly also ran" I think if DG could have burnt eyes into the back of his head he would have done!

Thank goodness for Fetchland WA x x x
