Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I don't know what these are. They look like they should be seeds, but they don't appear to be. They all fall off a tree and cover the path, squirrels seem to be nibbling them in the trees.

I’ve seen those before, Chrisity, but don’t know their name.

I happened across this lilac tree growing in a copse

Read that as corpse GM, was intrigued for a moment. A good year for Lilac.

I had a good look at some Horse Chestnut flowers today, and found a Red Horse Chestnut.

Looks like linden blossom to me, Chrisity. I'm still crunching my way through last year's beech nuts in a few places.

Couple of shots from my garden. The bluebells and whitebells have gone pretty much feral.

I think you’ve got ladies smock there. If that’s a damp area of lawn .. then I’d be more confident.

Love the horse chestnut flowers GM. They really are magnificent trees at this time of year.

(You only get conkers from white flowers.

The pink horse chestnut are sterile.)

Christy, I ran a section of your mystery flower photo through my plant ID app. Considering the image wasn’t sharp I was surprised to see it came up with a reasonable looking result - thyme leaved speedwell.
