CC2 - I wouldn't worry about whether you call it a date or not. At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Just go, relax, have a nice time and see what happens

saint - you sound like you are only into the tiniest 0.1% of the population! how do you define 'slim'? I am a good 5kg heavier than i was last year at my lightest but feel a lot happier and more attractive for it....

I define it as having a smaller chest and waist than me! (and I'm not exactly a beanpole...)

Err just as many women have said to me over the years they feel awkward with the concept of a partner who is shorter than them, I don't like feeling at 6 foot 3 that I'm the slim, petite one - I did say "my age" though, a lot of the female population are not my age. I'm not in any way suggesting that my preferences are in any sense correct but I note that previous posters have outlined their preferences and been roundly congratulated for them - which is completely right.

This is an example of equality being taken to its extreme and falling over the other side – while it is ok for females to specify preferences it is less so for males. Cf. the current edition of Intelligent Life in which there is an article stretching over several pages examining why male conversation is boring. Imagine trying to get an article about female conversation being boring past the editor. IMHO everyone is entitled to their preferences and, indeed, without preferences and therefore differences, the world would be a far less varied and interesting place.
And I rather like tall, skinny older blokes too

I dont see why anyone should ahve to justify why they find certain things attractive. It has feck all to do with anyone.

Here here max and MTTH Also I don't think people themselves actually have much say in what they find attractive, I mean you either fancy someone or you don't. I always say I like men with broad shoulders and dark hair but have met many men that match that description who, although objectively I can see are attractive, I simply don't fancy. It's all about the ping of chemistry, and if you don't have that ping you can't do that thing
