Ours is a Shark, and of a similar but several years newer version to our previous Shark. We looked at the Dyson (ball) but it seemed quite bulky and heavy compared to the Shark. I was very impressed that there was no plastic at all in the packaging. All of the accessories and various parts were wrapped in paper bags and bulked out in cardboard, so full marks to them for that. (Although the bulk of the vacuum cleaner is of course plastic, but I can repurpose most of the old machine).
