+1 to this. I was sitting in the sun at lunch and a nearby chap was pumping out plumes of sickly smelly vapour out. Later passed an actual smoker and it smelled so much better.

I think my sense of smell is banjaxed...

Mr J
Parkwalk is fine if they can do under 50 minutes.
It is not a parkstroll.

My wife walks the parkrun in about 42 minutes beats some runners.

I think parkwalking is great if it encourages people to do some exercise that they wouldn’t normally do.

I agree that it shouldn’t be an amble or stroll.

At Witney we’ve had walkers rehabilitating following operations and they’re very welcome even if they are taking 60+ minutes.

That’s an impressive time for a walk. I’m having to walk these days and haven’t been able to get under 43 mins yet, but it’s still something to aim for.

I’m pacing 45 mins at Witney this week.

parkrun is my happy place and as I am currently unable to run, when I’m not volunteering I am walking it, and I will continue to do so. I can’t always get under 50 minutes (that’s a reasonable clip!) but I’m walking with purpose and I don’t see an issue with that

I’d love to get under 45 minutes, my best is just under 47. My dad walks it in 38 minutes and I just can’t get my head round that.

I have no issue with people walking at parkrun (usual caveats about not taking the piss). I have an issue with the parkwalk role, particularly with tourists emailing on a Friday or turning up on a Sat and asking to do the role. I have an issue with people getting a volunteer credit for something that they would be doing anyway and that I can't see the value of.

PS I walked last week in 50 mins. It's the role that's the issue for me. Sorry if I upset anyone; it wasn't my intention.
