Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sigh
Received a letter at work today from a customer, it was dated "29th Wednesday 2017" and they'd put their address as my address. Apparently it's my fault for not responding sooner...

People who invite you to theirs and then get sick but don't tell you, so you don't have the chance of saying "actually as you are sick I won't come over". So you go round, and they are obviously sick, but they have still helped make dinner and handled all the food and cutlery and what have you, and sit right next to you or opposite you, clearly still full of germs, and then act like "wow I did all this despite being a bit poorly" and then a few days later, when you get sick, and have to take days off work and spend those days in bed feeling like rat shit, they say "oh, I wonder where you got that from". Yeah those people.

The current outbreak of posts on my Facebook news feed that begin, "Has anybody ..."

Has anybody done a walk that included more than one Wainwright summit?
Has anybody taken their dog to the Lake District?

Has anybody ever tried using X brand of running shoes?
Has anybody been to Corsica?

And knowing it would not be big or clever just to post, "Yes."
