Parkrun threads do seems to have more than their fair share of trouble. I dont seem to follow any threads where there is unpleasant behaviour, it is much harder to find than to avoid.

Thanks, pedro. I'm pleased to have a 'ballpark' figure for the no. of daily visitors to FE.

It's always regrettable when, for whatever reason, a Fetchie decides to leave. I'd say, unscientifically, that some discussions o0n the 'parkrun' thread have been more robust since the return of the weekly timed run.

I endose what chunkywizard writes ^ - similarly, there are two parallel threads relating to coronavirus, the 'support' thread being free of political comment.

Yeah, I just stopped using the site. I was bullied by a couple of people and decided to abandon Fetch. Then I just occasionally posted on the singles thread until last year I decided to come back.

It's one thing to have a difference of opinion but there's no need to be aggressive about it. That's the second I'm aware of leaving because of the parkrun thread. I also know someone else who left because of a difference of opinion where someone was like a dog with a bone. Shame but I guess that's life.
We're all different and we all need to appreciate that fact.
