While Raptor Knitted Socks by Night
My grandmother used to make ashet pies, complete with pie chimneys (which were plain white cylinders, not singing blackbirds), but I recall them with no fondness whatsoever and I was allowed to have a slice of square sausage or cheese instead.

Fierce and Festive Fleecy
Pasties are not pies because they are self-supporting rather than being cooked in a receptacle. Puff on top and shortcrust on the bottom is best, you don’t want a soggy bottom. |
