Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What do you know today, that you did not yesterday?

Joan Baez could make me grizzle with the most innocuous songs at one time. She's got one of those voices.

Joan Baez gets a mention in probably my favourite song intro

Our heroes The Dillard's got stick back in the day for not being as authentic as the likes of Joan Baez, despite actually being brought up in the country and living the life described in the song, they explain it better ;-)

I'm not sure what is meant by 'grizzle' in this context. I'd assume it means 'to cry fretfully like a small child' but synonyms are 'sulk, grumble, bleat'. Yes, if played any Joan Baez, 'sulk, grumble and bleat' would describe my reaction too.

Sulk, Grumble and Bleat are the solicitors who dealt with our last house move. Probably.

The Yusuf (Cat Stevens) song, Father And Son was originally written for a musical He was working on with Nigel Hawthorne (yes, that Nigel Hawthorne) set during the Russian revolution.

Sulk Grumble and Bleat is the title of every Radiohead album.
