Jolly Krampus - I was thinking exactly the same. These past few months haven’t exactly been pleasant for me either. Week leading up to Christmas I always have a Christmas playlist while baking/cooking dinner etc (along with a cheeky glass of something).

Maybe I’ll just go for it and risk Whamakiri 😁

Yes, still in.

Just popping up to say I’m still in! Thought I might have been out at a festive marathon Sunday but it didn’t happen and I’m most definitely still in!

I should be safe today. I've only been to Aldi and there was no music in there. No plans out if the house for the rest of the day.

Getting a proper shoeing today.

Arsing office radio. That I can recall: Greg Lake, Sheeran/Elton, Gary Barlow (some 'Dream of CHristmas' - not heard before, hope never again), Paul McCartney/Wings.

There have been a few more, but I've airbrushed them away.

A tiny glimmer of Gratitude there has been no Wham, no Wizzard, no Slade so far (4 hours to go mind....)

In after yesterday, when they were playing a cover version in Morrison's. I fear today's sortie to Sainsbury's might not be so lucky, though...

I'm out - it was walking through Manchester's Christmas Market that got me! I knew I was risking it!

About This Thread

Maintained by Sigh
GOOGLE SHEET HERE:

docs.google.com

Sheet for 2024 is on the first tab; you update your own entry. As with previous years, we're also tracking the number of repeated 'hits' for those who are out before the end (if you want to).

Who's up for the challenge then? whamageddon.com

"The 1st Rule
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM's Christmas classic; "Last Christmas".

The 2nd Rule
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th.
Use your local timezone, if you'd like.

The 3rd Rule
Only the original version applies.

The 4th Rule
You're out as soon as you recognise the song.

Player vs Player?
While we can't stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So ... don't be a dick, okay?"
