Still in. Managed to avoid it while out shopping earlier. Have a visit to my GP later but only going in to their pharmacy so shouldn't be any music to hear there.

No cause to go out until evening for a run - but need to be mindful of delivery personnel leaving radios etc. switched on while handing over too much stuff that too many people really don't need...

Walked onto the bus, hoping that wham wasn't on, it wasn't. Instead, I will survive by Gloria Gaynor.

A good Omen?

Sushi.
Shopping centres are the worst.

I’ve been to Cheshire Oaks with a friend today.

Got safely through till after lunch.

Then it was off to Whamhalla for me.

Don’t mind as it’s only one of 2 Xmas songs I like and I heard both for the first time today.

(Pogues is the other)

Aw bad luck, Sushi. I just popped in to a local Costa for a coffee. It was playing naff cover versions of Xmas tunes. Didn't here the proper version though.

Survived today so far. No sign of George and his LC.

I love the Pogues

About This Thread

GOOGLE SHEET HERE:

docs.google.com

Sheet for 2024 is on the first tab; you update your own entry. As with previous years, we're also tracking the number of repeated 'hits' for those who are out before the end (if you want to).

Who's up for the challenge then? whamageddon.com

"The 1st Rule
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM's Christmas classic; "Last Christmas".

The 2nd Rule
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th.
Use your local timezone, if you'd like.

The 3rd Rule
Only the original version applies.

The 4th Rule
You're out as soon as you recognise the song.

Player vs Player?
While we can't stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So ... don't be a dick, okay?"
