Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've noticed that the base of the back of my neck is sometime hurting.
Is this chair too high/low?

Any ideas?
If we are to be doing this for a while I need to "fix" it!

Given it is your neck, then I would guess it is more likely to be screen height related rather than chair height? There's plenty of information available on the internet regarding ergonomics... from memory, the top of your screen should be at eye-level. This is clearly difficult/impossible if using a laptop (in isolation)!

If it is this, then as you say we're probably going to be doing this for a while, so borrowing separate keyboard and mouse from work (or buying them) and placing your laptop on a pile of books my worth considering.

Are you looking down? The eye level should be in line with the top of the monitor. This can be difficult when using a laptop without using a stand of some type.

Would also recommend making sure you get up and walk around at least once every 30mins, even if its just for twenty seconds.

my desk is now looking like a disrupted library with books propping up monitor and laptop!
I did bring home my laptop stand but that makes it too high!

Will continue to play

I've you're concerned about others thinking you're skiving whenever you step away from the laptop, you can change the timeout settings....
