Your chances might be increasing. Apparently lots (how many that means I don't know) of runners with false entries.

Yeah, I was contacted about that, but they hadn't matched Matt with Matthew on my qualifier results. Some folks saying there were loads of speculative unqualified entries last year too.

Haha. That's quite funny.

Really shows they're checking though. I wondered if they might just check those who get drawn out of the ballot.

No luck then? I saw Ammon in 100th place on the hardrock wait list but that was the only fetchie I think?

Alas, another year of ticket collection awaits. Reckon I'll need my zimmer frame to finish when I finally come out.

So annoying watching all those guys coming out with 1 or 2 tickets 😂

Then there's the reserve list ... And I've no clue how that works especially if you're promoted 24 hours before race day when Gordie gives up his place again and you've got inadequate prep and on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

In 2022, it was a bit more fluid. There was a bloke in Chicago or similar who was top spot on the waiting list. The RD was checking in with him and someone came down with covid so jumped on a plane and flew in.

There are also local folks on the waiting list who could race at a moment’s notice - especially if they were pacing anyway

Also if you are on the waiting list, you can decline the place and keep your tickets for the next year

More runners with 1 ticket than entries full stop before about 2019. 1 or 2 tickets more than nearly any other year. I do wonder if they'll change the entry system at some point - people now with 9 tickets before getting in.

John Kelly (not sure he's ever done WS or not) almost suggested they should do away with runners with 1 tickets and thereby automatically reduce the wait for anyone who gets at least 2 tickets.

I presume that means you need to get another race in during this time frame to enter again next year Matty?

I think you have to give everyone a chance. It adds to the fun of the lottery.
