Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sensational stuff from Becky Hay after recent events. Great effort from Sandy Orr too.

Our friends are still making a gallant effort with Patricia Littlechild who made an earlier checkpoint by 10 seconds apparently.

I pulled out at Auchtertyre. I think I knew quite early on that I wasn't feeling good and I was later than previously to the Balmaha checkpoint (19 miles), and the next section is the lochside which is technical and therefore I was slow. I was still running and and to bomb it to make the Bein Glas checkpoint (41 miles) with 15 minutes to spare. This made me feel faint and so I was ages recovering there. I thought I would miss the cut off at Auchtertyre but I made it, but I had already decided to pull out. There was a fatal RTC near Altnafeidh and my crew had been told that the road was closed so they were trying to work out if any of them could manage 45 miles with me, also carrying everything we'd need! So it was an easy decision in the end.

It was lovely to see so many friends though, and I am chuffed that Laura who I was in the sweep team with last year and ran some of it with yesterday is going to get her goblet.
