This has been something of a disappointment apart from providing some of the people from the computer games thread a break from me and Doogs banging on the state of the current Hearthstone meta.
The next DM is altogether more traditional, and includes a seaside city in the South West Region of Cameroon and a type of flute in traditional Mongolian music.
I've been putting off the next one - was originally scheduled for last year - wanted to save it until after a 'bad' one - and this games one didn't seem to resonate with much of the deathmatching public.
I think there's a sweet spot on gaming, where people are into it. Accepting that some carry on. Mine was mid 90s, but even if you'd had my favourite beat em up (Tekken) and my favourite footy game (one of the FIFAs, probably 94ish), I probably still wouldn't be massively engaged, but that's alright isn't it? Now, I will be back for the Hannah Barbera DM.
September deathmatch hopefully starts next Tuesday. I think it will be good and properly silly. We're back to having crap American towns on the start sheet, which always helps.
