Yes, they are, with the exception of TR2 which had a ridiculous flare system and was basically unfinishable without an infinite flares cheat.

I think that the "cheat" system is probably, overall, the one thing that turned me off gaming in the early '90s. I cannot abide a cheater. Never really gone back.
