Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

20 minutes to go. And if your TV synopsis is anything like ours, avoid the spoilers within :

I know it's neither of the thread programmes, but OH and I have started watching House of Games on Dave with our post-supper tea and coffee. Tonight's programme had the round where the contestants have to mark on their tablets where in the world a particular landmark is located.
None of the four had any idea where Egypt is in Africa. They had no idea where Nigeria is to be found. They had no idea where Mt Kilimanjaro is. Is this level of ignorance normal? (The contestants were Denise Lewis, David James the goalkeeper, and two comedians whose names I don't remember.)

What I've come to realise from watching House of Games is (a) most celebrities are very, very stupid, (b) Richard Osman/the producers take an incredibly lax approach to the rules, and (c) The Nice Round is the biggest load of bullshit going.

I like HoG, especially the round where they play a song intro and you need to time when the lyrics start.

It's fluff and fun, usually the contestants are good picks too.

I like it too. To watch stupid celebs. The map game shows them up every time.

I have quite a like/hate relationship with it. Some of the games are entertaining (especially the rounds where the kids write the questions), but some I find borderline unwatchable ("Nice" Round, the word cloud one), and Osman does my head in often.

Back on topic, really enjoyed today's OC episode, two likeable teams, shame one of them had to go home. Some tough questions, too.

I live near Trellick Tower so I was yelling "Towers!" all the way through that wall :-)

I like HOG too but it needs the right mix of guests to make a good week. Where Is Kazakhstan is my favourite as my geography can be hit or miss so it's quite educational.
