Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

that's another thing I hadn't thought about - never need a pee or a poo in any length of race or training run!

For me:
- Anything sub 100 - no poos
- SDW100 and NDW100 - one small one at half way (at village hall checkpoint)
- Chiltern Way 214k - no poos
- GUCR - a small one at about 70 miles (public toilet), then spent miles 85 - 105 thinking I needed one and visiting various bushes, but without success
- K&ACR - no poos
- King Offas Dyke Race - couple of small ones (over 70 hours) at village hall checkpoints

Don't think I've ever needed one during a training run. Might post on the other thread about wees (I have an "is it just me" query..."

Wow, there's been plenty of chat here since Fetch's thread prod blog. I like the rule of 3 from a few pages back, and Rosehip it's not a boy thing but I've always used the portaloos rather than gone al fresco :-P

OK, so if we are going into detail :-) my body is usually very good at shutting down the digestive track during ultras, and I've never needed to go al fresco. However on the LT100k earlier in the summer my guts felt wrong from the start and just wouldn't let me get any food down. A stop at about marathon distance to severely "lighten the load" made all the difference!

Oh yes, not a boy thing at all, I pee outdoors like it's going out of fashion :-)

Have done a poo on all my 100s
Indeed most of the NDW100 that I DNF'd was spent poo-ing

- I lied about the peeing on training runs, wasn't thinking about it! - If I run past somewhere with a loo my brain decides I need to use it. But otherwise, I think I probably need to drink more...
