Well done NDW. Popped my 100m cherry Sunday morning. That was tough but such a fantastic experience, I'm still trying to process a jumbled up collection of memories. I don't think I bumped into anyone from here but all the crew and volunteers I did come across were brilliant.

Hi, folks- it's while since I posted here- did my 3rd ( and slowest) Fling 2 days ago, and just relaxing on the sofa now! I'm slow (>14 :30), but I suppose I get my money's worth, and I feel OK today- not up to running (!), but I can get up and down stairs with relative ease. Good job too, as I'm booked into 25 hilly miles from Kinlochleven , up Ben Nevis, and on to Fort William in 2 weeks time- seems daft now that I think about it, bit I didn't notice how close together the races were when I booked them. Well done to the 100 milers this weekend- I think I would have struggled to run nearly twice as far!

Well done everyone!
Hi tricialitt and well done you. I've done 5 Flings in various times from 12:45-14:23 and I've also run 100 miles at Glenmore 24. If I can do it, you can do it! For me it was mind over matter, knowing that 100 miles was my goal and I got in to a rhythm and didn't let myself stop for a sleep. Do you fancy running a 100 miler in the future?
I'm adjusting my Hardmoors spreadsheet with help from shanksi and trying not to be too nervous about it. The ladies from my club keep telling me it's way harder than WHW so I wonder what I've let myself in for. But I also know I wanted to run somewhere new and different and it will be an experience to remember. Anyone from this thread going to be there this weekend? flip are you still running or marshalling?

Well done tricialitt and macca.
After my first 100 miler I really didn't think I would do one again but the TP100 was my 7th!

I have always thought that a 100 miler was just too close to risking permanent damage to be worth it, but I will see how G24 goes, I don't expect to get to 100 at G24, it is more as a test to see what happens beyond 15 hours! Probably the next step up would then be Great Glen, and only then would I be thinking about something longer- obviously my first thought is WHW, rather than a flatter 100, - good luck at Hardmoors mrs shanksi!

Thanks tricialitt, I will see you at Glenmore 24, I'm attempting it for the second time. I took part in 2013, so long enough ago to forget any bad bits! It's a great race.

Lots of new "ultra" experiences for me this weekend on the Pembrokeshire trails, no kit checks at all at the start or on the route , badly spaced checkpoints , mis information all over the shop, I won't be doing any more Run Walk Crawl events that's for sure , well done everyone on the big ones over the weekend.

Interesting feedback Gromit - I'd been looking at some their events. Maybe I'll look elsewhere.
