Lovely to meet NID at the Fox Way Ultra today :-)

Inaugural event, and very well organised and signed with good check points. Would make a great first ultra for anyone, *only* 37 miles :-p

Hi Liliaicha, Great to meet you too! Small world out there! Loved the event, mostly flattish, great scenery, nice cup of tea at last checkpoint :-)

Highland Fling for me after 2 (ish) more sleeps. I always forget about the horribly early start, but that's probably due to all the other stuff going on during the day.

Mustn't forget to pack and do drop bags and go to bed early tomorrow evening. Yes, seriously. Must my my head in the right place to go out and enjoy some of Scotland's best trail running.

Wow Andy looks gorgeous, was not aware of that one. Added to todo... what's the forecast promising?

The Highland Fling is just brilliant NID. This will be my eighth in a row and I'm looking forward to it as much as any other time. The Lakeland 50 comes close to it in terms of awesomeness, but the Fling really was the one that pushed me into ultras. This year was the first time it went to a ballot (for 1000 places).

Forecast is ok (ish) in that traditional Scottish sense. Rain, showers, bits of sunshine. Importantly, the wind doesn't is a southerly all day, pushing us along nicely

I agree with Andy. Nothing touches the Highland Fling for all round 'feel' good factor.

It will be #5 for me. And hope not to fcuk it up like the last few.

Actually it would be good to start putting people's races in the header/siderer again.
Is Ogee around much on here these days?
