If the weather's OK the bike can be fun as long as you do the wetsminster route rather than the other one. I was there yesterday and can confirm it was very wet and the bike looked dangerous when the course was busy. I noticed there were a lot more race bikes and tri suits than usual. Normally at that one you get a lot more people on shoppers and baggy shorts and t-shirts.

Quite disorientating as well. The fear is ramped up when you do the dive they show you plaques of all those who have died there. But it’s being a shit/over confident/careless diver not the depth that kills them.
