Gorgeous pup!
I don't normally mind how deep the water is but there's a 'hole' in Lake 32 which you swim over and seeing the ground drop away beneath you used to give me the collywobbles. If it had been that deep all the way round, it wouldn't have bothered me. It was the 'drop'. Weird.

Reservoir swims can be properly nasty. In the sea a big swell, as long as it’s predictable, is manageable. You just ride over the waves.
Reservoirs don’t have huge swells but can have really nasty face slapping waves, too small for your whole body to ride, that mess with your breathing.
A long swim in that is a proper challenge.

I refuse to believe it is raining anywhere else as All The Rain is falling on The Venice of the North East Chelmsford Suburbs.

Meanwhile I can announce a return to training with a BOOM!! A solid hour of hard work on the watter with an FTP increase to 249W. Feeling strong, and happy
Nice to be back into routine.
