I’ve been out on 2 wheels for ages and ages in on off drizzle. Downpour started in last 1/2m so brilliant timing.

Hot sticky slow LSR with big black clouds overhead. No actual rain, might not have minded. That combo of shoes and socks not good though. Why is it that shoe manufacturers change things each year? 3rd pair of same make / model and these never seem to have got comfy.

Olympic Tri fun for me, solid work in swim and run, little underwhelmed by Bike and scruffy Ts - but 1st M50-54 and 6th overall.
Was great fun, superb conditions and great to be back!

Middle distance duathlon today 4th overall and 1st vet 50
First run was all about control given my usual fear over longer distance events - 150hr 6.43 pace, a little slow but it was windy on the hilly side.
Bike - the reason I was here really was to get a longer bike(longest since my last 50mile TT IN 2017,I think) ride . My power has been quite flat whatever the distance and today was no different . Again 150hr ish , pace power and speed was steady. Had to do some body management as the calf and back of knee played up but dropped cadence and rode it out.
2nd run was a very nervous affair but only 1 twinge and again no stopping - down at 6.51 pace but at least I was running and never lost any places.
So in conclusion - a good day out, need to lose weight, prep and execution to a plan were bang on. It's racing but hinged with a there is more in there if my body works properly. Sadly it may never work properly.

Excellent work TRO and Gobi.
I can't claim the same heady heights in terms of podium finishes, I can however claim a 32 minute PB for my HIM time (and compared with the same course in 2019).
Pretty darned pleased with that
