You get used to it and actually depending why you use it depends if you like it.
I hated it when I started but I wanted to race, now I train with others and race so I appreciate the value of it.
Horses for courses but it has grown on me.

I only bought the damn smart trainer so I could join the team orange rides, though.
So far complete inability to pair the trainer and the app, which asked me to enable both location AND [sic] Bluetooth but has no option under the app permissions to enable Bluetooth, only location.

I like Zwift. A lot. Saved my lockdown and is going to rejuvenate my winter. And Team Orange.
However, it was a proper pain in the hoop to get it set up on my dumb turbot. Much easier to swap to the wattbike a few months later.

I only tolerate an i device because it's my work issue phone, I'm not buying into that ecosystem with any of my own money...
Apparently there's a known bug with the tacx flow not showing up as controllable straight out of the box, and needing a firmware update.
Sam has done the firmware update and it's still only showing as a speed and cadence sensor.

EP - hate to say it but that sounds more your WIFI than ZWIFT
I use a signal booster to my conservatory and it is sound.
To be honest it is the value of training and racing with others that makes it tolerable. If the world had been normal I would never have got to it.
However , now here I won't drop it as there is no doubt it has revitalised my racing so even though I may go back to being an outside man I will always use it for the racing and a few get togethers.
We have 4 to 12 people who would never be able to ride together who now have a weekly chat and train, I personally feel I am making new friends who I hope I may get to visit when it all cals down.

Ah, apparently if you add it as a cadence sensor it's then visible as a controllable. Of course.
