I just did 2 laps of tomorrows ttt and unless I missed something this is the easy way and avoids the 17%climb :-)

Yes I did the same, very easy hour but on Harrogate UCI. Misses a lot of the nasty stuff when we do Tuesday’s, but a fair slug of 6% grinders.

I have this recipe but as I have never eaten the real thing I can't tell how it compares.

Recipe for Cumbrian Grasmere gingerbread.

Preheat oven to 180C.Line a 19 x 29cm tin with baking paper.

Sift 250g plain flour
1 1/2 level tsp ground giner
1/2 level tsp baking powder
stir in 125g light soft brown sugar
and 150g melted salted butter.

Mix well.

Tip into tray and press down lightly and bake for 30 mins.
Mark into squares but leave in the tin until cold.
