I had a tiny hope we might perk up, based on the theory that after 3 years of playing at Seb’s soulless bowl we’d cope with the oddity of empty stadia better than some.

But it appears without the fear of being booed our players are even less inclined to run about and put the odd tackle in.

As to escaping we have some half decent players but no fight and our 3 rivals are shit but have fight and desire. I’m on the teams with fight when it’s relegation squeaky bum time.

PS this will be the 6th West Ham relegation I’ve ‘enjoyed’....

I've no idea why the 'Norwich are too good to go down' thing is *still* doing the rounds with the pundits.

They aren't, truly they aren't. And their manager sounds like John Culshaw doing a generic impression.

Once Glenners. Walker, Clough, Pearce, Keane. We were too good to go down. But down we went. The other times after that, we were just shit.

The good news is that Halifax have snuck into the play offs. Away to Boreham Wood in July. And they won't be phased by playing to an empty stadium :-D
