As expected, not the sort of weiner that's going to get its owner on a porn flick:
Swim 7hrs/13%/11mls Bike 33hrs/65%/655mls Run 10hrs/20%/62mls XT 1hr/2%
Total: 52 hours.
Complete clusterfuck of a month with fatal death illness, a 'cold and fucking rainy just like the UK in Feb' weather training camp and snowmaggedon as soon as I got back. Brilliant. Just brilliant.

So, Greppers, assuming you’re not referring to a party of unionists or the quaffing of ales, I’m disappointed you missed the opportunity to ask me where I stand on SUP...
As a 'proper paddler' I poured scorn on them when they were first introduced. A friend of mine is very keen, leads SUP safaris off Anglesey and loves it; we’ve had a number of discussions about the relative merits of canoes and boards.
I was considering renting one this year to see if it works for coaching OWS, thinking about the elevated position giving increased visibility for technique analysis.

They seemed to be more numerous than kayaks for officials at Kona last year. Access to SUP opportunities where I am is easier than canoe/kayak which would necessitate joining the local mafia at the Chelmsford Canoe Club.

I’m not convinced they’ll be my thing (I was a bit shit at skateboarding, back in the day) but my mate reckons anyone can get the hang of it and that they’re good for transporting gear (and his wee dog). I still think that a canoe (as opposed to a kayak) is better for gear, but I do get the elevated position better visibility thing. At Edinburgh 70.3 last year it was all kayaks and RHIBs, quite a few of the former (allegedly) needing rescued themselves at various points!!

The legend of Edinburgh 70.3 last year suggests that you'd need an RHIB purely from the stability point of view. That said in my mind RHIBs have outboard motors - not the thing you want among swimmers.
SUP yoga is a fine thing.

I’m pretty sure the outboards had caged props. And they weren’t stood in close. When we rescue dinghy sailors we usually turn off the engine as a precaution but I wouldn’t have wanted to do that in *that* sea.

Run - 21hrs 151.0miles Bike - 37hrs 680.2miles Gym about a session a week
Total - 59hrs
REST None
Parkruns at effort - 4, best of 17.25 (82% wava) Track races - 3 night and all good hard races Weight - on track
Concerns - not running quite as quickly as I had hoped given weight loss and volume but I am no slower than I was last year really so probably need to just shut up.
TT bike is set up indoors and I have done a couple of rides but I am not doing any outside sessions on it yet, but I still have 3 weeks until race day so there is time.
Overall volume is spot on and if a 31 day month I would have basically matched January, running was solid and cycling up on last months 31 days due to actually getting some quality Sunday rides in.
