Precisely Angus, they are things of beauty - for the last 6 miles of IM Barca, and the last 6 weeks I dreamed of 10 minute miles....

Glenn. I'm not having much toe luck at the moment.
Broke one by stubbing it in an airport a couple of weeks ago. Then dropped a brick on the other foot yesterday.
No training today and I'm down a couple of hours on the bike over the weekend. Parenting. Pah.

Top news TRO. What's the longer-term prognosis?
Not racing this week (marshalling out on E91/10 tomorrow night) so I'm having a 'do what I like' week. It's been brilliant so far. Gym/swim Fri, run Sat, swim yesterday...

Cheers Grepppers, back to Fizz next week to see how knee has responded to some light running and also he'll be doing some gait analysis to look at root cause. Seeing as it was something that 'came on' there is almost certainly some imbalance/weakness somewhere.

I tried a dreadmill once. Hated it. Never again.
I've jogged lightly for seventy minutes outside and conditions were nearly perfect.

This sounds goodish TRO. I generally dream of 10mm. Wasn't happening yesterday - nice 25 mile bike, a bit less gentle than intended, but fun. Subsequent brick went downhill rapidly and did 7 of planned 10 miles run walk which had become walk walk. Took snacks and drinks on bike, hardly touched it. Plonker.
Quietish day today then tri club swim.

I'm just dipping under 10 minutes nite mile pace while implementing run:walk 4:1 and loving it.

That's far better than I expected TRO - I'd got the impression it was a wear-and-tear rather than biomechanical problem.

Could still be wear and tear, things will flare up again if so. I'm more confident than I was, but I think still could go either way.
