25. I don't get people going insane in races. Your job is to hit your pace and maintain, laps make it easier. When I'm racing I'm only thinking about racing not the scenery etc.

That's the difference, I'm in it for the fun and experience, not some arbitrary time and target.

Arbitrary? Lols but you ran 100 marathons...
What I find funny is that no one chooses to run 1000 100m races...
Anyway they are not exclusive. That's my fun and I like the experience. I choose to do this remember. The arbitrary target is the best I can do on the day.

Fr- collecting is arbitrary. Racing is supposed to be about racing not just ticking a box. I know you are relaxed about your times but please let's not dismiss a focused racer.
Spr Pace at 70%mhr for 20 miles was 7.20 pace

Nice one Gobi. Confirms my thoughts on the numbers quoted on the HR thread.

Brunski a poster on the thread has a wrist HRM which "Last week I was holding around 150bpm on my effort session, and knocking out 6-6:30 minute miles (depending on gradient)." This equates to about 75% of max. I'm saying that given race times either max HR is wrong or HRM is spitting out garbage numbers.

Wrist HR is dire but would recommend using 2 at the same time to confirm.
I'm not this fast now :¬(

Yeah I've suggested using a chest HRM as well to confirm elsewhere.
Injury is a bugger.
