Truth in the rumor he is/was ill? Bronchitis or something? Certainly only half hearted efforts at intermediate sprints. He's not of it yet. The are plenty of points for sprint wins and there has only been 1 so far. Having said that it's probably Sagans to lose, as it was before the tour started.

Possibly island, I've heard he's on antibiotics. That said I think Saturday was Cav's only chance of the last 3 days.

I think Sagan will be more disappointed even though he'll have a different shade of green to wear.

Much more important was the hat load of fantasy cycling points I scored today.

The maths of the green jersey says that Sagan has to win every single bumpy stage sprint (like the last two), if Cav wins all the flat ones (like the first one).
I don't think Cav is out of it, but he will have to show a bit soon.

Does that work if Sagan comes 2nd in all of those stages?

So, what do we think? Sky, Garmin, OPQ?

Garmin for me. Sky have problems with Thomas and Kennaugh both nursing injuries, and they have the choice do they go all out and risk losing their riders to the time limit, or do they hold a little back, given that Garmin and OPQ don't really have GC contenders (I know Garmin sort of do). I think they will go somewhere between the two.

I think they were counting on Greipel, Goss, Degenkolb etc taking most of the second and thirds, which they probably should.

Personally, I think Sagan has probably got it sewn up.

Sagan's to lose IMO because he can get more intermediate points and some points for placings in 'Cav' stages. Cav unlikely to do the same in 'Sagan' stages.

Love the TTT, hard to call though. Losses of Tony Martin (?) and Geraint Thomas have blown a hole in a few plans. This is one where I may have to go on radio silence and avoid anywhere likely to spill the result so I can watch 'as live' later.
