Morning gonks.

I woke up this morning with cramp in my right calf. The cat and girlfriend got a shock lol.

Will run tonight before meeting a friend for a drink. :-)

The rain stopped so I went for a run. I'd only gone a short distance when I met the group of women I was running to have coffee/tea with. They were going in the opposite direction because they always do at least five miles before landing at the café and they *insisted* that I join them. I was a bit aghast because they are all younger and faster than me but it was just about manageable and I only had to do four of the five miles. Yet again it underlined that I really must run with other people if I want to get even a smidge faster. I don't know why I don't say to the 'gang' I'll join them on a Thursday. I do know actually. I've lost confidence in my running.

I should add, that when we got to the café, there were a couple of women who haven't joined us for years (literally!) but are getting back to it, so that was lovely, and then I was handed an early birthday card (not for another two and a bit weeks, but as they said, they never know if I've disappeared to Devon) and they all sang Happy Birthday to me :-)

So I was very glad it stopped raining!

Aw that was nice. Think you should say to the gang you will join them. They seem lovely and perhaps that will give you back your confidence as they probably don’t judge.

That’s what I’m aiming to do more of - run socially with the ‘gang’

LD, that's lovely.

I had a good day - busy with work (I'll attach a pic of a new cat print I've done), did a workshop at a school which was fun - lino printing and no injuries, hurrah....then I did 4 miles focusing on staying in easy zone for HR and was so pleased with the pace. Legs a little achy after a speedy (for me) track session last night. Then date night at a nice pub in town. I had an all day breakfast and chips :-) then banoffee cheesecake. Plus a couple of beers.
