I have a mantra that I repeat regularly throughout the day, especially when temptation is placed before me. It’s really helping me to say no. “Wake up with determination, go to sleep with satisfaction.” There has been the odd day when I haven’t gone to sleep with satisfaction and it’s not a good feeling - I need to keep reminding myself of that and what my long term goals are. Of course, this doesn’t mean that I can’t plan for an occasional treat, it’s the unplanned ones that can quickly spiral out of control that it’s helping to me to resist. |

Lots of steps Jaks. You’ve spotted where you’ve had a few more calories than you’d planned and have taken steps to balance that out. That’s a great mantra, AtC and even better because it is working for you. Stick with it - can you get a streak of 7 days going to bed with satisfaction? 😃 The meal looks great, Wp. You’ve taken the right steps to ensure it will enhance your food plan, by cutting back elsewhere in the week. I’m glad you enjoyed it. You are all being practical and sensible in your weight loss 👏👏👏👏 Meanwhile, my weight has continued to plateau for the last 10 days. It’s starting to eat at me a bit, but I’m reminding myself that I’m doing the right things and am on plan with meals; I need to trust the process and there will be a drop on the scales sometime - there has to be. Science is at work and I’m burning more calories than I’m eating. It will pay off soon 🤞 |
