Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Recovery walk today with long run planned for tomorrow

Last week’s was 4.25m so needs to be longer!

I’m in the virtual London Marathon (but we’re also supposed to be out that day .... but given increasing COVID numbers I’m guessing won’t be!)

So with 3 weeks to go for a solo marathon .... 2 long runs and a taper .... longest run maybe 10-15km
I’ve completed a marathon on less 🤔🤪

Yes, it's not going to be your prettiest marathon ever, but you've got three weeks to get into the position of being able to do 26.2 miles on your feet in one day and be able to recover reasonably quickly :)

Well deserved recovery walk, Pix. Just get your legs moving -don't need to cane it (obvs).
Can you just aim for 5 tomorrow? Anything extra then a bonus.

Started my throws campaign properly today - shot and javelin.

In spite of being sorely tempted to DO EVERYTHING at the althetics centre which was gloriously empty.

Progressed the pond today, trimmed back the liner and put some large and smaller pebbles around it, I had planned to shop for marginal plants today but run out of time. I have also dug out a half moon bed by the patio and planted some lavender that I bought a couple of weeks ago.

Sounds lovely Mrs J.

(I remember Raffo having various probs with the marginal plants - getting the plants to 'stick' as it were. It's all good now but there was some trial and error. )

Thanks Sharkie :-) Here it is so far, I need some more big pebbles/rocks also need to work out what to do at the back, not a lot of space forward of the fence.
