Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There’s a sign in Japanese not far from there at all, where the main tourist path that passes the Brontë bridge joins the PW. We ran by it both out and back on Sunday

@ adrian...I believe you...I've seen photos with the scale of that hill. One of these days I may do a shorter version of Beachy Head.

I just tried to scan that pic using Google Translate but it wasn't playing. (I wonder if it says 'the Japanese translation service is not currently in the office. Please leave a message after the tone.')

Slightly odd path, the Harcamlow Way - 141 miles in a figure of eight connecting Cambridge & Harlow, for some reason. It's marked on OS maps, but until recently, there was very limited signage on the ground. Someone seems to have installed some new markers around here in the last year or two.

Saw this one on my run last weekend, part of the GR561 (Kempen - Maaspad)

Normally they are just paint markings, this one just amused me.

I went for a 15 mile run in deepest darkest Sussex today & ran just a small part of the Monarch's Way. Crikey, the bridleways were thick with mud. Still, at least I didn't fall over.

The sign with the Monarch's way badge on, pointing the way to a lovely bridleway covered in leaves. Oh, & thick claggy mud hidden underneath.

Character building I think it's called.
