Hester was called Annie by the shelter but as that wasn't her original name anyway (she was a stray) we had no qualms in changing it.

Homeless Kodo
Ours have got loads of names. We originally called them Sunny & Buddy as versions of the names they came with. They get called Squeaky & Squawky and variations those, Squeakatron, Squwakinator, Squeakster etc. They never get called by the names we originally gave, which I think is fairly common.

We had two Pygmy goats that lived at the end of our road. They were called bubble and squeak. It was a bit sad when one of them died and we didn’t have the heart to ask the owners which one had survived

When I was a boy we had a cat called Nina, a litter-mate to Frederik.

My old cat was called Princess by the RSPCA. All the no. Tiny feisty stubborn little madam she was, didn't suit her at all, and there was no way I was yelling Princess out the back door! We've now gone Dog but I love popping in here for a cat fix!

Bonnie was adopted with her brother Clyde. Clyde was ginger and was never called Clyde by us. He was mostly referred to as The Ginge.
