Good afternoon, All.
pretendparkrun this morning, very steady, and made even slower through bumping into several running chums doing their own fake parkrun equivalents (well, not literally bumping into them, social distancing was appropriately observed at all times). Lots of people out and about, though the traffic seemed a bit quieter than last week.
Should really haul myself out into the garden and do something horticultural, but I seem to be stuck on the couch with a cryptic crossword.
Chicken and roast veggies for tea, DD2 is currently making a chocolate cake for Easter for us all and Mr JK has just presented me with a very large bar of chocolate. I strongly suspect I will soon weigh several stones more than before all this corona chaos started.

 Sounds good. Just eat the large bar in small instalments...make it last longer and keep from putting on too much weight!

Alas, Garfield, it is not in my nature to eat chocolate in small instalments. My greed has no off-switch, which is why I spent most of my adult life substantially overweight.

Long-ish run (11 and a bit) done this morning, had to jog/walk the last mile and a bit uphill home. Can't quite believe it was only 4 weeks ago I did my longest marathon training run of 22 miles!

My greed was worse as a child, when I had a very fast metabolism...chocolate was a treat in our household growing up, so I'd spent part of my pocket money on a large bar of  each week and eat it in one go.
