Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Back on track for the year today - the day the log clicks over 200 miles (well, at least as soon as fetch's hamsters update the league table).

Lovely bright day with an occasional chill wind.

A few updates ...
Seems pheasants round here survive on mango chutney (plus other Indian takeaways)? Most of the feeders are these

Th erun today was up the chalk downs - wide open views, buzzards swirling around, along the top and then back down the bluebell woods.

And the power of Fetch, please. I can now spot & name Early Purple Orchid (and a few web searches have found a lot more names for that, as well as causing & curing STD, supposedly), Primrose, Cowslip, Celandine, Wood Anenome ... but I have a new one today. About bluebell sized, faint purple hue before opening, papery white when open. And ideas?

Great run, great scenery, very pleased to be rural !

I think they are anemones actually ferret, just droopy ones. The leaves look identical to these:

I wonder what the age distribution of Joe Wicks’s audience is?

I think they look like wood anemones too.

I can't seem to psyche myself up to doing any physical jerk type of stuff or yoga yet, or gardening.

Once again I failed to rest and had a little run. Nice but maybe shouldn't have bothered since I tripped and now have grit rash down my leg. Feel a right muppet!!

Yow TM, I hope the weather was good to make that worth it.

I did 11ish, including my first jaunt through a town park since parkrun stopped. I was impressed to see that while there were plenty of people there, they were all keeping well away from others and no groups that probably weren't families. It is a large park with many paths which helps.

I stopped to say thank you to a park gardener. The park looks absolutely beautiful.

Not to doubt fetchie input, but I think these are wood anenomes - more star shaped & yellow middles. Whereas the ones on the run today were more papery & all white ...
