How frustrating ITG :-( Have a ruddy big hug (with facemasks of course) ((((ITG))))

Well, I got slightly wet on my teatime run. Stopped off for a few miles en route to collect the teen. The heavens opened for a good 10 minutes, absolutely tipped down.

The good news is, I came second in a wet T-shirt competition and won a ยฃ5 Woolworths voucher. :-P

Evening xx. Sympathies to ITG and congratulations to all the runners, grandchild huggers and others with reasons to celebrate!
Not kept up due to nights, but managed 7 miles after coming off nights today.
In other news, Dad no better, no worse. We're going over tomorrow to help out with some house and garden stuff he can't manage at the moment and taking mum and dad out for dinner tomorrow (my First indoor dining since lockdown, eek!). On the plus side, dad is booked into private neuro rehab in 10 days time, and managed to get to a local piano recital today which hugely lifted his mood ๐Ÿ˜Š

Gingers crossed for Turtle Grandpa.

I am home in mini quarantine with my wee cat.

She is making sure I don't try to leave again.

Covid rates are higher in Reykjavik than in Glasgow so I am in the spare room for a few days and will stay out of shops and workplace. However, the plane was full and they are all probably in the pubs and swimming pools since they are shut in Reykjavik. So stupid and annoying but utterly predictable. Twats.

But I've got my wee cat and Netflix so it's all good.

Dipps, your run sounds fantastic - a very good distance. :-)

ITG, hurrah for blackcats. Mr Whiskers is snuggled up to my feet.

No running tomorrow but I'm taking the teen out for the day - first of all to the cafe where I've got a little exhibition of my prints, then onto the cat cafe to see the meows and drop off their order of Christmas cards (cat ones of course), then to a book shop to top up their stock of my cards, then off to a pub to drop off two framed orders and have a pint! :-)

I've just blogged about the virtual running events I'm doing - have a look if you're interested. These are the medals.

Bed soon for me.

Morning all! Our club is having a Move for Mental Health day (it's World Mental Health Day today) so I will make myself do a longer run than I've been doing. I certainly need to - my Half Marathon is on November 15th :-0 and training runs of 5km are not enough!!

Then this afternoon it's more baby cuddling :-)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
