I am also very lucky to see the sea every day and currently sat at desk listening to it roar. Rather wild out there.

We are off to the in-laws after lunch. Thought we might go to Lancaster parkrun tomorrow. This provoked a feverish hunt for my barcode - had to print off more, which was a right faff, so we are definitely doing it now!!

Brrrr! Cleaning the chickens out finished me off - I am now showered and under my duvet and still shivering.

Get a hot drink, Carp. Or soup. Sometimes the only thing that works is being warmed from the inside out.

I've scampered downstairs for some
My fingers and toes coped ok with the pouring rain and cold wind when I was running but not with standing in the rain frantically clearing chicken poo and trying to break up a hay bale. By the time I came indoors my hands had completely stopped working and my fingers were so agonising that I actually cried. I had to get T2 to pick up a towel for me then wait ten minutes before I could tear clothes off and press the shower button.

No the islands remain visible even at the highest tide, Columba. They're part of the coastal protection scheme, to stop the seafront being too battered from south-westerly gales. They're also where the fireworks display take place after the Regatta

Went for a run with sister in light snow shower. Light snow shower became heavier. And heavier. Ceased to be able to see the ground. Still snowing. Love it
