I am thinking about how someone once told me that if you get interrupted it takes at least 20 minutes to get refocused on what you where doing. As I wander aimlessly around the internet after being interrupted.

Didn't I hear somewhere that if you cover a tick in Vaseline it suffocates and drops off?
We just had a torrential downpour. Glad I opted for the sofa instead of my bike.

Been swimming with the kids. It was good fun but bloody hell, they're fit.
Need to dechlorinate myself and look respectable as I have the funeral of a former colleague to go to later.

Being sort-of confined to the sofa (carpet fitters in upstairs) I'm spending far too long wandering through spendy websites on the internet. So far just bought a CCTV camera for OH who wants to watch the night-time visitors to our garden, and some books, but now also thinking about possible dresses for son1's wedding next February. It's in the Canaries so presumably I need a summery dress for the winter sunshine there?

I've heard (for ticks, fleas etc), as per ar, vaseline, and also any gooey cream (germolene, sudocreme, savlon etc) and also neat washing up liquid. Never had the need to try them. We used tweezers or fingers & tissues (to get a grip) on the cats.
Have yet to invest in tick tweezers

We keep our tick tweezers in the glove box of the car. It's so it doesn't get lost in the 'drawer of unnamed things' in the kitchen, and so it comes with us wherever we go.
We've never had to use it.

I’ve got a tick remover. It works really well, but you have to convince the dog to hold still enough to get it in the right position. I was going to cover it in Filtabac (sort of animal equivalent to sudocreme), but it isn’t at home, it’s at the stables where I last used it on the horse where one of his mates bit him (probably because he was being a twat. It usually is.)

In a similar (but different) manner to LD, I keep plastic cutlery in my car as it’s not much good in my kitchen

It rained again. It's cold inside so I've put the heating on again. I think I'll get some lunch now.
