I went to put the iron away and the bottom fell off again so I guess it's not fixed but irretrievably broken. This has been my best iron ever! The others all died from hard water poisoning but this one just literally fell apart instead. Going to buy another Phillips at some stage.

So she got macaroni and cheese (separately) (mac'n'cheese) when the rest of the family had macaroni cheese.

I used the remaining carrots and parsnips to make soup. I've done the ironing in record time - either there wasn't as much as usual (which would be strange) or the alcohol in the coffee spurred me on. Either way I can now sit down for the rest of the evening.
