Also... the most important reson for neutering Jet was that we didn't want him to breed accidentally, and although he's a pedigree we didn't want a stud dog.

My brother's cocker took to enthusiastically humping towels whenever he was dried off after a mucky walk. My 12 year old niece was mortified, the 8 year old twins just found it funny. He's been done now (the dog not my brother) and he's a much less of an embarrassment to the tween now.

That sounds a great game, clever lad for coming up with it! It reminds me of that facebook page that does the rounds from time to time, of a Boxer (?I think...) rolling down a grass bank

So she is! I have a bit of a mental block with bulldogs, I think, and always think it's a dog.

OH and I are starting to tentatively talk about finding another dog in the New Year, after losing our big daft Connie this summer. This was her a week before she started getting affected by the horrible bastard tumour that we didn't know anything about yet: Things got complicated when the first investigative X-ray turned up this: That pair of forceps (now broken in two) had been left inside her more than 2.5 years ago, before we knew her :-o. Remarkably, without any effect on her. It did lead us to some major surgery, and long recovery; followed by a realisation that there was still an underlying problem which we couldn't do anything about. We only had her for 16 months, but there was an awful lot packed in to that short time, and we'll never forget the good times we had (nor, unfortunately, the sad end). |

You can't beat rolling down a hill can you? Dog class tonight. Last one before bronze assessment. We haven't practised enough. Stay is our biggest challenge. |
