Red Squirrel
Thousands of redwings here at the moment - amazing. Lots of blackbirds in the trees altogether too and song thrushes in the woods.
Large flock of wigeon still in the distillery pool + some mallards. A buzzard was watching them from a fence today and I got quite close to it, despite being with neighbours’ labs.

Possible Hen Harrier or similar on our run today 😍 smaller than the possible Marsh we've seen a few times the other side of the quarry, but hard to tell which type of harrier when running and without binoculars.

Can you be an endemic immigrant, or is that an oxymoron?

Well they were imported from Indian colonies and liberated or escaped to become (nomadays) endemic, no?

Well, er... no! Naturalised, maybe?
Endemic means both indigenous, and not found elsewhere. Maybe like red grouse in the uk (although they are only a subspecies), or the Scottish Crossbill.
