Coooool!!! 😍😍

Our garden has been a busy place today. The local starling yoofs have discovered our cherry tree. I did manage to pick a bowl of them before they have been systematically stripped!

Pleased to say our resident blackbirds have muscled their way in to get a few.

Two great crested fly catchers nesting at my flute teacher's -- saw them last week but they seem to have gone now. I managed to ID them using the internet, as she didn't know what "weird bird" it was. Not bad for an Old World girl in the New World :-)

When a red kite swoops over so low, you can look him in the eye :)

Northern Exile, nice snow bunting shot. That's a member of that interesting category of birds which have never seen in this country in summer plumage, only winter (although I've seen them in summer in Norway). Brambling was another until a few weeks ago, when I saw a summer plumage one in Thetford Forest.

Thanks J2R. I'm not a hugely experienced bird watcher, but I do like to identify those that I come across when out in the hills :-)

Such a rarity for me to have a camera to hand when the birds are obliging with their poses, so chuffed with these today. Couple of wheatears and one of a stonechat on Moel Eilio today

Rosehip

This sparrow spends most of its day fighting its reflection in my dining room window

(it's hanging on the strap from the awning cover)
