Happy chiffchaff day, obviously most especially for DT😁

I will point out I've still never seen a dipper.

Got back to base after work, a robin singing his heart out at 830 at night.

I wonder if it's the same one my Mum sent me a picture of a couple of weeks ago from Alexandra Park? I did my A level fieldwork at Chorlton and Sale waterparks but it was just tufties back then!

Yes that's the one. It's pond hopping. It was back at Alex' Park this afternoon apparently which is why I never saw it.

Plenty of Tufties about still.

I thought it was my ears as I was sure I'd heard a few chiffchaffs, first was only the one shout, next had one note very similar to the other. Lots of birds singing loudly as I walked through the park this afternoon and I saw a goldfinch on the edge of a pavement having a drink out of a puddle in the kerb.

Some of the pics I got earlier. The Swan & Mallards were very helpful subjects.

Murmurs around that the Ring Necked Duck hadn't left Alex' Park and the sighting today (yesterday) was something else unusual...

Lovely list there.

Mystery warbler s today, sounded like willow warbler according to the Birdnet app, but my guess was blackcap, still plenty to learn, I'll keep listening.

Chiffchaff all over the shop this morning. Also lots of wrens flitting in hedgerows
