Roberto - that's great news. I have a pair of goldfinch visiting daily.

I've had a greenfinch and a chaffinch on the feeders today. I've moved my fat ball feeders further away so the big birds don't crowd out the wee ones and I'm providing a wider variety of food which seems to be working.

I used to get loads of chaffies in the garden but that's the first one for around five years.

Yeah SN, I've left out fat ball feeder empty all week as they stopped appearing when I had filled it up again. So I'll move that round to the other side of the table I think.

That looks like a great set up.

Fat balls are avian crack I've decided.

30-40 swifts playing and feeding over the fields this morning just as it was starting to warm up a bit. Never seen that many together before, it was just lovely. Some really close fly-pasts as well :-)

Two Kingfishers is just greedy Heinzster ;-)

I know 😊
I'm not apologising, though! I thought one went into a hole in the bank, but couldn't see any hole. They are surprisingly hard to see if they're in undergrowth.

:-) You don't need to apologise :-) ;-) Our kingfisher has been AWOL for a good while now but I keep looking every time..... it was regular as clockwork for a few years (apart from when we tried to take MissVivvy to see it and it didn't turn up ;-) )

I'm currently catching up on podcasts - just been listening to Scribs talk about the thread heart :-) (I am a couple behind!)

Just to brag some more..... Kingfisher(s?) again tonight in the same spot. Almost sure there is a nest hole in the bank but sighted at least 8 times up and down the river. It also perched on a rock mid river for 20 seconds or so. Then caught a glimpse of one at the duck pond right on the other side of the park. I don't know enough about them to know if that (about 1/2 a mile away) is likely to be another territory? Absolutely buzzed. It makes trying to get back into running after far too much chocolate and sofa time a lot more enjoyable 😊
