Bring it on, prefer country over roads any day and I always run better in the cold and wet than the hot and dry. Kent Fitness League races cost just £2 to enter, are for non-elites (If you can run a 10K Sub 34:00 for men or sub 38:00 for women then you're barred), are open to non scoring guests, are pay on the day and the courses are suitable for all ages over 16. There are runners of all ages right up to 70s and 80s. Check out kfl.canterburyharriers.org or swanleyanddistrictac.org for more details... |

SODDING HILLS
we have our club champs next saturday followed by northern relays and the 4 race Sth Yorkshire series going to give the national relays in Mansfield a go this year. will get slaughtered and be near the back but they say these national events are superb as part of our club membership fees, the club pays all entry costs. HOD, got some Mudrock 290's but they keep giving me blisters on one heel. I have tried the steam from a kettle on the shoe heel. Have you had similar problems with Inov8 |

mansfield is a lovely course, not too difficult but a nice bit of woodland and parkland. the relays are a hoot, especially when you get lapped by Mo Farrah or similar - you appreciate how fast they are then.

Mudrock 290's are known as heel shredders, other Inov8's are much better.
