Thanks for reminding me Rach Yes I really should have a go shouldn't I? I have been a bit scared of running hard since my injury. I need to rac again to get my confidence back. I'm racing 10k tomorrow and next week oh and 5k next Sat

Ian - My Nike Waffle XC were only £25 in the Start fitness sale. Im pleased with them too to be honest.

Yes. Sometimes a size larger as they're very snug. It's worth trying on a few pairs. I have some Mizunos (they were cheap and felt ok) and Gobi has some Pumas in the worst green possible (choice for him was determined by them being the cheapest in the shop!).

I went half a size up, my normal size is 9.5 but in spikes they were too tight. 10's were perfect. Seems to be the norm with spikes, so i was told

I had the NIKES and as you know I love my NIKES but the foot plate on the XC spikes is not good if you get the concrete bits. I broke 2 pairs in 2 years.

G - Thats not good. I am concerned with the concrete areas when wearing spikes. The Nike was the most comfy spike i tried on which basically swung it for me.
Way im looking at it is if i can get a seasons wear out of a pair then great, and at £25 good value.
